Kathleen was born and raised in Northern California and spent 20 years in the Los Angeles area before relocating to Oregon. Before moving to Oregon, she regularly visited family in the PNW throughout her life. She earned a bachelors in finance, graduating summa cum laude. Her love for math, finance, real estate, and educational opportunities led her to Charter School Capital. She brings twenty-five years of experience as a paralegal, with a concentration in litigation, commercial real estate, and finance.
The opportunity to work with commercial real estate, coupled with assisting and supporting charter schools was the right fit for Kathleen. She avidly volunteers with many organizations in her community and wholeheartedly supports the underdog to level the playing field for all. Being a single mother and raising two children of her own, she knows firsthand the disparities of educational opportunities for our youth.
In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with her children and granddaughter, riding her horses, hiking, camping, cooking, rescuing horses, tending to her eight acre homestead, and volunteering in her small town (population 2,000). She is active in a women’s group supporting her local community, as well as the livestock welfare liaison appointed by the mayor’s emergency response representative.
